The Hill Run-Off

What The Hill Run-Off is doing to be more 'Green-Friendly':
  • All race goodies and event products are completely compostable and earth-friendly!
  • Reusable H20 jugs.
  • Compostable cups from EcoProducts.
  • Entry forms are printed on compostable paper.
  • All compostables are taken to Eco Cycle.
  • We do not provide goodie bags.
  • We recycle bibs & safety pins for other races.
  • We use local businesses on the course that are zero waste to provide post-race refreshments.
  • We request that volunteers carpool, ride their bike or take the bus to the event.
  • During race announcements, we give out Xtreme green tips; prizes are great reusable items, gift certificates or cash.
  • We give out Green Transportation Awards! All participants that use some form of green transportation to the event are eligible for special green prizes. This is very popular, as we have entire families that ride their bikes to the race.
