About the IMT Des Moines Marathon:
This year marks the 7th annual IMT Des Moines Marathon. And, as Jeff Galloway, Olympian and Runner's World contributing editor writes: "If you like friendly people, fun activities and well organized events, come to the IMT Des Moines Marathon. It should be on every marathoner's to-do list."
The IMT Des Moines Marathon is a premier racing experience, offering Midwestern hospitality and charm in addition to a scenic, challenging course. With the start and finish lines in the same location and a flat, fast Half Marathon course, the race weekend attracts 6,500 athletes and is a Boston qualifier with elbow-room to run. The race features IPICO-timing with interactive finisher results and a Pace team for both races.
Additional IMT Des Moines Marathon race highlights include: A Sports and Fitness Expo with national and local exhibitors, a speaker series, a pre-race pasta dinner and two host hotels.
